What interested you about this topic? I'm interested in this topic because I would like to learn about their culture.
key ideas that you find about the topic? the key Ideas that I found about Samoan patterns are that each of them has a unique and special story.
Why is this significant to the people of Samoa? It's important for us to celebrate Samoan Language week is to show people from Samoa that we appreciate them and care about them.
How does your topic compare to New Zealand’s equivalent? Although New Zealand's patterns and Samoa's patterns are quite similar, New Zealand's patterns commonly have curvy shapes, repeating while Samoan patterns are more of a mix of patterns in one.

♡ My Strength Cards ♡

♡ My strength cards ♡

This blogpost is about some of my strengths, well not all of them represent me. For example, I’m not that energetic and have a lot of enthusiasm but for me, these are strengths I chose because these suited me the most out of all the strengths that teacher asked us to choose.

Here is a slide about my Strengths ⇓
(Disclaimer: Some things didn't fully load, Example ⇒ ༄).

I really enjoyed making this slide, I tried to make it with using my own ideas. For example, I added gifs(anime), pictures, drawings, quotes, border dashes(which are the lines around the text) and some other things! Overall I like making things original, well things that I think about and like.

Work From Home

 Work From Home

For the last weeks of quarantine, the work I've done for school is been mostly doing ESOL, Vocabulary Spelling City and a little bit of Mathletics. For ESOL we normally practice our vocabulary and English pronunciation. For Maths, I've been learning Place Values to Billions, Prime or Composite and Comparing Numbers.

Prime numbers have exactly 2 factors; 1 and itself. Composite numbers have more than 2 factors.
Comparing numbers are less than, greater than and equal.
< = Less than
> = Greater than
= Equal.

We then also explored tools, charts and graphs around in the google sheet, he also gave us some examples of what the graphs and charts need. Then after everyone(most of us) finished the task we had to do we then played a game called guess the number.

for the past weeks, we've been reading stories about Maori culture and learning about the history of The Treaty of Waitangi and what happened between the Maori and the Europeans. Then we learned about Mahinga Kai and what was happening before the Europeans came and long before Modern Supermarkets were built. Then we read about Nanny Peka which tells us what some of the healing Plants like the kawakawa, Koromiko and Ririma.

Overall the stories we read are.

- The Treaty of Waitangi.
- Mahinga Kai.
- Nanny Peka.

We also learned about a specific word called " Whatauki ". There are different meanings to the word like love, respect and leadership. But in my opinion, I think it means sharing the love those around you.

Here is a slide of my work in Mahinga kai and Nanny Peka ==>

I really enjoyed reading a lot of these stories especially The Treaty of Waitangi, it's very interesting learning about New Zealand's history since I am a Filipino myself.
