Salt and water Experiment

Aim: DESIGN AN EXPERIMENT THAT TEST THE AMOUNT OF SALT THAT MUST BE PUT IN BEFORE FREEZING

Image result for salt and waterWhen we design an experiment there are some important questions that we must answer first.This is part of the planning stage and will help to give us some ideas. Record these answers on your blog.

The Plan.Task 1; Read the question carefully and write the answer to these questions.

What do we need to find out?

The amount of salt that must be in water to see if it freezes or not once's you leave it in the freezer.

How will we find it out? We will find out by putting it in the freezer overnight and taking it out in the morning to see if it didn’t freeze.


How will we record what we find? We will record by a device that is waterproof and put it in a plastic bag and put in the freezer.


What equipment do we need for the experiment? When we go in the lab we will need safety glasses if doing an experiment and gloves.


How long will it take? It will take 8 hours until morning to see if it freezes or not.
The Procedure Task 2:What are the steps that you will take to make the experiment?

List them in 6 steps.

Step 1; get a cup,beaker and measuring spoons/cups.

Step 2: add salt to your cup.

Step 3: get water and add it to a measuring cup.

Step 4: add both ingredients together mix them together.

Step 5: put in the freezer overnight Step 6:take it out of freezer in the morning and see if its freezes

The Process
Task 3: Draw on a piece of A4 paper the 6 steps that you will use to test the amount of salt in water before freezing. When we are making drawings in science  it needs to be labelled clearly, kept tidy and named. Once you have completed the drawing it must be photographed and uploaded to your blog.

In your drawing you will use: pencil/pen, erasers

When We Have a Reliever

When We Have a Reliever:


Today with our reliever I sat down where our homeroom teacher told us too.We read a couple of pages in our books.


When we have guests in our class I should Ask what to do when were done instead of just sitting in our chair staring at our screens.

I should also be quite and when the person chats right beside me I should ignore them and continue with my work.


Next time I will ask the teacher what to do when I'm finish. Tell the person beside me to do work and less talking.

On Tuesday We did some Drama about Eating Healthy. This time we did a video instead of a picture to show you guys. i was with different team except Elisha Mae and Shreya. Our new team mate was Felicity she's really nice and funny it was really fun doing it we tried really hard and it was embarrassing. it's not good view but we tried and also theirs other peoples video as well.

Dirty Water experiment

Aim: To make a filtration plant using household materials.

What is filtration?


Filtration is separating solids from liquids by adding a medium through which only the liquid can pass. 

Examples are:

  1. teabag
  2. coffee plunger/filter
  3. swimming pool
  4. kidney

Materials

1.bottle
2.cup
3.sand
4.dirty water
5.pebbles
6.filter paper
7.scissors
8.funnel
9. coffee filter

Process - ( use verbs or doing words in each step )


Step 1

Cut the bottle in half

Step 2

Put the top half upside down inside the bottle

STEP 3

Add layers of filter paper then add your sand/pebbles

STEP 4

Get 1 cup of dirty water.

STEP 5

Pour dirty water into the filter inside the down bottle

Measurements

make sure that you have a adult if your cutting the bottle in half and help getting the dirty water my group Nykachia and Ella and me. 


The Experiment worked for us But it went really slow but I think it was the clearest of all the other group and you also have to do it in order first is the sand then the small pebble/small rocks.

Social Connections

Social Connections


Here's parts of what we did on drama class, We were talking about The 4 aspects on Tuesday. The 4 aspects was about Social, physical, Spiritual and emotional. This time i had different Teammates but one of them was still my teammate from last week remember Elisha she was my team again but i was happy, she’s really funny and very intelligent. We had to choose one of the 4 aspects and we choose Social cause most of the people were choosing physical.


Anyways here’s our work we did on Tuesday P.S we did a video.

2) Surf (laundry powder) - Aluminosilicate.
3) White vinegar - Acetic acid.

7) Detergent - Sodium n-dodecyl benzene sulphonate.
8) Lemonade - Dilute Hydrochloric Acid.

10) Citric Acid - Citric acid;77-92-92-hydroxypropane-1,2,3-tricarboxylic acid; Citric acid, anhydrous; Citro; Anhydrous citric acid.

Our value is about Achievement 

We made a Slide show to recreate what we Achieve last week and this week.
When we first Worked together it was a complete mess but we got better ones we started to work together, I was teamed up with Shekinah,Cody,Saia and Joshua.

We kinda of Succeeded cause  they were talking about jokes and then Cody had this pen the can be erased but only his rubber can erase so Shekinah tried to take his pen cause she was trying to erase the writing it said" Woo hoo" i told them that they need to stop arguing and start working and then we tried to do a skit first but then we just did an animation cause Saia and Cody didn't want to speak right in front of the camera.

Freeze Frame
Hi! My name is Zoe from Hornby High school today i will be talking about what we did on drama today. We did a freeze frame it's like the mannequin challenge but we had groups of 4 i was paired with Elisha Mae, Danielle and Nevaeh. Here are the characters we did Elisha was the child, Danielle was the Grandma, Nevaeh was the mum and i was the suitcase the moral was about a mum leaving somewhere else, i'll show you the picture of our freeze frame.



Freeze Frame meaning- a single frame that can be an action and sometimes emotionless.
