 Reflection - The trolley

Today we read a story called "The trolley"  and answered questions about it. The story is about a mom who was planning to get a present for her two children but didn't have enough money to get them an expensive present instead she made a home-made trolley made out of used things from her house as a present, she spent a sleepless night just to finish the present but she was anxious her children would be embarrassed and unhappy with the present since others had gotten expensive presents. 

Questions: 

1) What was the mother’s name? The mother’s name was TaniaWhat were the names of her kids? Her children’s names are Miria and Hoani.

2)Why did she make them a trolley? She made her children a trolley since she wanted to give them a present because she loves them.

3) What was her anxiety about? Why was she so anxious about that? She was anxious about giving the gift because other children were getting expensive gifts and her gift was homemade.

4) How did the children react to the gift? The children loved the gift although they didn’t say anything they quickly rode on it in their pyjamas.

5) What does this teach us? This topic teaches us that happiness can’t always be bought with money.
