Why do we have each of the parts?

Wheels	For it move around and investigate the surroundings
Solar Panel	For it to collect energy from the sun so the machine won't ran out of energy.
Laser	to identify the ground and point were it could take pictures.
Camera	to take a picture of the planet around.
Shovel, rock pick,drill	To dig under ground and see what inside of it.
